UC-HBCU Initiative: 2020-2021 Request for Proposals

On December 15, 2020, Michael T. Brown (appointed provost and executive vice president for academic affairs of the University of California) announced the 2020-2021 UC-HBCU Request for Proposals (RFP). Through the UC-HBCU Initiative, the Office of the President encourages UC faculty to actively engage in collaboration and cooperation with faculty and students at HBCUs. The Office of Research and Graduate Studies invites proposals from UC faculty members at any of the 10 campuses to work with undergraduate and master’s-level research scholars from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

  • Summer Research Internship Support Grant
  • Summer Research and Graduate Admission Pathways Grant
  • Small Research Grants (NEW)

Grant proposals are due Monday, March 15, 2021 no later than noon (Pacific Time). Please review the request for proposals and FAQ for additional information.
